ROLLING AGAIN

i got myself a bankroll of £80.Put £5 on roulette and won £80.cashed it out and put it into poker.I started playing 3 tables of $50nl,buying in for $30 each. Before playing i reminded myself to play a tight game, and concentrate on capitalising on mistakes made by others. In a half hour session I doubled up at one table taking my bankroll to £95.
After an hours break i played another 3 tables with the same buyins. This session lasted for an hour and i took my bankroll to £140.
Now i am going to have a break and play when i am fresh tomorrow.I am only going to play when there is a strong desire to.

taking a break

well the inevetible has happened.I will have to take a break from poker.Losing at poker is effecting my life too much.I will start again in 4weaks time, with a bankroll of $750.I will return to play $50nlh.My target will be to get $2k before moving to $100nl.At $2k i will divide my bankroll into 2 parts.I will imediately transfer $500 into sportsbook account. This will be for my tournaments. Not a great deal, but i get in the money about 1 in 4/5 tornys i enter, where theres 150-250 runners.Any torny wins will be transfered into the sportsbook account.I will use this as a separate bankroll with the ultimate goal of winning a £20k plus torny.
Saving up the money will hopefully instill some value for that money.I will require some patience and hopefully return with a vengence.
The following budgetery measwures will be taken to build up bankroll.

  1. reduce ciggies from 25 to 15,and smoke more roll ups-saves about £25 per weak
  2. reduce takeaway meals -saves about £20 per weak
  3. stop using rentboys -undisclosed

Any punks wanna leave comments,it will be good motivation

S&G

reading a few blogs while i am broke....
I have realised that i have not really given s&g's much of a go.I am wondering whether it would be a better idea to play $1-$3 sitngo, with my limited bankroll instead of cash tables.Would the skill level be a bigger factor compared lo limit NLH.
The other option i am considering is to just play sattelites to the bigger tornys.Hopefully coming good with a biag win.
Anyway,a freeroll starting soon..........goodnite

OMAHAIGOD

BUSTED.....had the worst run at omaha.i was the chipleader at 2 tables.I had about $100 at each table.Within 30 minutes,i had lost 5 or 6 races. On each occasion i had raised preflop.got callers, flopped trips. And every time some punk chased their flush,or straight...HIT THE BASTARD.
Sure,i made a few bad moves now and again. But my table image was such, that the callers of my bets knew i had trips on the flop.
Yes in the long run,i want my trips to be called. It will be profitable. It still feels like shit though.

'ok.ok...calm down sehti,take deep breaths...relax' FUKIN**/!!*!@!!&****?

deeeeeeeeeeep breath.breeeath,nice a n d s l o w

SO WHAT HAVE I LEARNT?

As chipleader,i can control the game to an extent.I should adjust my game to keep pots small.............IMPORTANT KEEP POTS SMALL.
Better still,i should just leave the table once i have tripled my buy in.

All this ofcourse is the right thing to do when you have a small bankroll.I wouldnt heed this advice if I had a larger bankroll.A bankroll that could cope with big downswings.

So,i will have to make a deposit this year afterall.I got five days into this year with free money. Not bad.I think i will take a shot at a couple of freerolls tomorrow, before i make a deposit on Monday

YO-YO

the last couple of sessions i have had poor start..my own fault. My bankroll which was at about £120,has been down to less than £25 three times. Each time i have got it back to about £60-£80.It currently sits at £88.
Unusually for me,my performances at the table have started of poorly, and improved later in the sessions-as i try win some money back.It has always been, the other way around.

I WONDER WHY THAT IS?

Is it arrogance on my part?......I think so. MISPLACED ARROGANCE MORE LIKE.
Ever since I have managed to control my emotions/tilted less,I feel i am a superior player to others. This results in me deciding who the weak players at the table are,way to early.I then seek to outwit them and get caught bluffing early on.I need to fix this soon.

So the advice to myself for my next session is not to make moves early on in cash games.Invest a bit of money in creating the appropriate table image. An image which will bring the most reward for that particular table.

Software-is it a good idea

The bonus has finally arrived.I got £50.Played an hour of PLOmaha(2 tables). After initially going down to £28,i have managed to get to £73.
After reading a few other blogs,i am considering using some poker software to improve my game.I will keep you posted, when i do start using the software. You will be able to decide for yourself whether it works.I would welcome other peoples experiences.(leave comment)
As mentioned in previous posts,i priorotise mental discipline over being aware of exact pot odds.So for me the software will be about getting me to stop thinking of my bankroll on a daily bases.....working out how much i am up or down every 5 minutes.Instead i want to think of the game in longer time frames, such as weeks and months.I think this will be a big factor in controling short term tilt,as i will be aware of the longer term, bigger picture.

I will also start to post my bankroll stats in a table format every now and again too.

GLOOM,BUT NOT DOOMED

i had a good run at PLOmaha today.Playing at $0.15/0.25 tables,i managed to get my bankroll to about £110.I decide to have a go at $0.5/1 NLH.Depositing $40 i busted out in the 2nd hand with my AA,losing to trip 7's,after i had reraised allin.I guess the guy put me on AK or something and fancied a 50/50 shot.
Although i had planned not to put anymore money into this stake level I felt the game was ideal for me to win at.The table was full of passive players. They would call bottom pair on flop, and gutshot draws. So i deposited another $80.Shortly afterwards i flopped a straight.I made a 2/3rds of pot bet.I was called by loose caller.I put him on a pair or a gutshot and continued with a bet on the turn.He raised me allin.I know he has got two pair.I call-he gets lucky with fullhouse.
This was definetly a game i could beat.My Instinct was telling me to buy in with the rest of my money.I thought about this for a while...considered whether to call it a day.But the game was too good to leave,I only wished i had a bigger bankroll. So buying in with the remaining $90,i got this upto $160 within 20mins.At this stage my sensible side was telling me to leave the table.Worrying about risking all my bankroll I made a mental note not to go below $140 unless absolutely ahead in a pot.
Shortly afterwards I floped a fullhouse against a weak player.By the turn we were both more or less allin.Only for him to make a bigger fullhouse on the turn.

Although disapointed with losing my bankroll,I still have another £50 bonus due by thursday.

I have settled now on playing $0.15/0.25 PLH and $0.25/0.5 NLH.I think i have the game to win and enjoy myself at this levels.

So,although i would normally deposit about £100 into my account now.I will resist the temptation and wait 36hrs to get my bonus money.Thereby keeping my deposited money this year at ZERO.
